The Fluffy

Artist Nancy Jun Liang’s Signature Brows

Nancy:

I have an obsession with really wild, fluffy, natural looking brows. When I see them, I can’t help but stare. Since I started Microblading, I’ve wanted to find a way to recreate that kind of brows with the tools and techniques I been given.

It took me about a year to really perfect it. If you look at my IG: https://www.instagram.com/grand.arc.nancy I started practicing the combination of microblading and shading for a very very long time. I been featuring my practices on creating this for the last year. And its changed, ever so slightly each practice, until now, the placement of each stroke and shade is more precise.

Name Conception

Nancy:

I just loved describing them as fluffy. It was the word that came to my mind when I look at them. Then one day a client came in and asked me:

Client: “Can you do that thing to my brows?”

Me: “What thing? Microblading?”

Client: “No, the thing your good at… The Fluffy?”

It made me laugh, and the name just stuck. And of course, I gave her The Fluffy. Haha!

Seeing The Difference

The Fluffy

The Fluffy uses advance microblading Boldbrow curved strokes. Using these S and F shaped strokes in various lengths, along with adding mini hairlike strokes, mimics and follow the natural hair flow on each brow. Then we also add very precise shading along where hair should be the most dense on the brow, spreading the gradient down towards each strokes, for shadow and dimension. This is what creates the extra fluff, making the brows look naturally fluffy.
