Lip Blush Service:
Lip blush is a subtle way to enhance your lips semi-permanently and can last approximately two years.
A natural fullness with a rosy hue is created by layering pigment into the lips.
It is a great way to restore faded lips, correct slight asymmetry and gives balance to the face.
Lip blush is subtle and opaque, and will not replace the look of bold red lips. Freshly done lips will appear 30-50% softer after the healing process.
How does it work?
Carefully chosen pigments are applied in layers to the surface of the lips just above the dermis. Clients can opt for a softer or more defined lip line. Numbing is used before and during the procedure to provide the most comfortable experience possible. However, the lips are a sensitive part of our body, so it is still possible to experience some discomfort during the procedure. If clients are very susceptible to pain, acetaminophen can be taken before the appointment (no ibuprofen or other blood-thinning pain reliever though!).
Lip Blush Full Session
The procedure usually takes between 2 to 3 hours with numbing optional.
- Orientation – This includes any questions you may have, filling out the consent forms, and providing your Artist with an idea of how you would like your lips shaped and intended colour. (15 minutes)
- Shaping – Using a wax pencil and ruler, your Artist will draw the outline of the intended shape. Everything will be measured to assure symmetry is obtained. (10-20 minutes)
- Numbing – (20 minutes)
- Procedure – Pigment will be applied to the lips in layers while additional numbing is applied in between (1 – 2 hours)
- Aftercare Instructions – We go over after care instructions on what to avoid and what to do during the next 2-7 days. (5 minutes)
